A commercial towing account is a standing arrangement made before a breakdown, so a business knows who to call and what the terms are. To discuss one in Akron, OH, call Akron Towing Service at (234) 312-4777; the line is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Terms are agreed individually, not published.
Fleet managers, property managers and shop owners tend to arrive at the same realization after a bad week: arranging a tow at 2 a.m. with no prior relationship is slow and expensive to compare. A conversation held on a quiet Tuesday fixes that.
Nothing on this page is a rate card. Market figures show local operators typically publish $75–$150 for a 5-mile car tow, and your account terms may differ.
What should I bring to the first conversation?
List what you operate: vehicle types, rough weights, where they park, and which sites you cover. A mixed fleet of vans and a couple of box trucks needs a different answer than a lot of passenger cars.
Name who is allowed to authorize a tow. If three people can call, the operator should know all three.
- Vehicle types and approximate weights
- Addresses where vehicles are kept
- Who may authorize a tow
- Who receives the invoice
What should an account agreement spell out?
Ask for pricing in writing, including how distance, vehicle size and extra work such as winching are charged. Ask how invoices are issued and to whom.
Also ask what happens with a vehicle that cannot be moved the same day. That is where unclear terms cost the most.
Does an account mean priority service?
Do not assume it. Ask directly what, if anything, the arrangement changes about response, and get the answer in writing.
Can a small business set up a towing account?
Ask. Call (234) 312-4777 and describe what you run. Terms are discussed individually.
Is the price lower with an account?
Not automatically. Compare the written terms against the typical $75–$150 market range for a 5-mile car tow, which is not this business's quote.
